Job description
1. Implements systems and processes to achieve agreed inventory levels, improved customer service, improved manufacturing processes and reduced costs and improved efficiency of transport
2. Optimize warehousing and distribution performance across the BU to meet or exceed customer satisfaction
3. Control the purchasing of raw materials as well as traded goods to meet customer demand
4. Operate departments under this positions control within budgeted costs
5. Ensure efficient and safe operating of warehousing facilities; and a hygienic and orderly work environment is maintained.
6. Develop a sufficient supplier's base in order to be able to evaluate and attain the most competitive prices and quality on a local basis.
7. Manage the customer service areas for the total BU to increase customer satisfaction, optimize warehousing and distribution performance across the BU to meet or exceed customer satisfaction. Ensure the effectiveness and consistency of production planning by providing efficient, accurate & timely schedules.
8. Ensure effective and cost efficient transportation of products so as to guarantee reliability in delivery times and product quality. Conduct local market search for alternative suppliers in order to identify the most appropriate ones in terms of delivery times, product quality, credibility and cost.
9. Ensure the appropriate safe storage & movement of raw materials, finished goods & spare parts, in order to support the production process and eliminate delays. Ensure the smooth running of the inter-company order processing in order to eliminate order errors, minimize delays and provide top of the edge quality on customer service.
10. Design and follow up implementation of training programs for the department's staff so as to secure diffusion of technical know-how. Monitor and control the standard of warehousing practices. Set strategy and procedures so that all inputs into ERP system through inventory, freight, orders and production planning are accurate
Requirements:
1. 8+ years experience working in a Manufacturing Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Control, Procurement and Follow-up, International Logistics and Customs or Purchasing environment.
2. 5+ years in a management role in Supply China Management.
3. Experience leading justification and launch of a new ERP system in multiple sitcs.
4. Experience supporting multiple operations in China for one company or supporting operations for one company in multiple countries.
5. Experience leading successful supply chain cost savings actions.
6. Strong project management and organization skills.
7. Excellent English Language skills.
8. University degree or above (Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred)
