Opportunity

Copal is expanding its Beijing research centre, and is looking for a highly motivated individual to help manage its investment banking / private equity research platform. Daily activities would include:

- Discussing research projects with clients

- Structuring work

- Managing delivery teams (ensuring deadlines are met, improving efficiency, etc.)

- Conducting quality control on deliverables

- Training junior staff

- Performing the more complex research tasks (for example: complex financial models, senior management interviews, developing storyboards for presentations)

- Delivering work to client and discussing feedback

Specific deliverables include:

- Company profiles / reports

- Industry and capital market newsletters

- Financial analysis

- Trading comps

- Transaction comps

- Industry reports

- Thematic studies

- Capital structure analyses

- Financial benchmarking

- Technical Chinese-English/English-Chinese translation

Required Background

- Complete fluency in written and verbal Mandarin & English language

- Previous investment banking experience a must (3 to 5 years)

- Top academic credentials

- Technical skills

o Must have strong written/verbal and quantitative skills

o Good grasp of business concepts

o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
