职位描述/要求：
Position Summary

This position has regional responsibility for Energy project design and standards. Supports Energy Project Managers by ensuring proper process engineering and scope definition during the early phases of energy projects, providing technical direction during the detailed design phase and during commissioning and start-up. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of energy center design standards. Supports operating energy centers with technical problem solving and improvement of operations and energy efficiency.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Prepares process design specifications, calculations and drawings for energy projects in accordance with Cabot energy center design standards, reporting to the Project Manager.
Manages equipment procurement process, including development of specifications and vendor relationships, definition of vendor scope of work, design review and periodic vendor shop inspections.
Reviews operating history of existing energy facilities to support preparation and maintenance of energy standards.
Acts as technical point of contact (Project Engineer) for design engineering contractors on energy projects. Provides direction to the engineering design contractor for proper execution of the project.
Required Skills

Engineering design (mechanical/process) skills
Knowledge of purchasing and contracts
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese, capable of technical communication (verbal and written) in both languages.
Education/Experience

University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
10+ years related experience following university graduation
5 years work experience within a multi-discipline engineering design firm
5 years work experience on power or energy projects, including utility power plant, industrial cogeneration, or combined heat and power (CHP) projects
